Built On Open Source

Open source is a development methodology; free software is a social movement. For the free software movement, free software is an ethical imperative, essential respect for the users' freedom. By contrast, the philosophy of open source considers issues in terms of how to make software “better”—in a practical sense only.

Gluebox is a online collection of things, presented with Drupal. We enjoy Tiny Houses, Camps, Gardens and Wildlife. Oh, and hacking too! This site is alway moving and changing. Who knows what you'll find.

New This Month:

Drupal 8, Rules and the contributed modules needed to build powerful site applications.

We're building out and documenting a new D8 module for syncing content using REST and Json.  This module provides two new content types along with a Rules action plugin. "Rules API POST" basically lets you sync content between sites. We're usinf it to firewall an internal sensor network that published a D8 automation dashboard. (more on this to come.)

See: https://www.drupal.org/project/rules_api_post

# Side Note for later, work on adding a date/Event field
'field_date_time'

        '2019-05-03T12:13:13',

      'field_date_only' => [

      'field_entity_reference' => [
